Picture doesnt do it justice

I was looking for some enrichment for our hamster and came across this digging tower. It is absolutely massive! I kind of didn't look at the measurements just judged on the picture but it's not a complaint, it perfect for hamsters. Our little hamster loves it that much he's moved into it and this is now his permanent house. If your going to order be aware unless your cage reaches the bare minimum floor space for hamsters it will not fit inside your cage so it may be best used as enrichment for outside of the cage. We are lucky with the fact that we have a custom wooden cage which has lots of hight as well as floor space so this fits inside comfortably. Our hamster loves it we are so pleased.

Hate, then love

I put my hamster in and he ignored the tower which was disappointing. I then decided to put him in his play pen with only the tower, and eventually he looked at it, realised what it was, and now loves it! I could not convince him to come out in the end! I think he even had a wee snooze in there! Thankfully there is a 'trap door' on the bottom so in worst case, you can force him out :)

Needs sanding down

My hamster seems to enjoy the box during free roaming but definitely needs help getting up there. The ladder is pretty useless at this angle and height, especially to walk down. And needs more ribs anyway. Mine has less than the picture. But the box DEFINITELY needs some sanding as the finish is quite rough and splintery.
